Not a how-to book (though it does contain a sensible chapter on that), so much as a series of anecdotes and surveys designed to educate people about what disturbs, injures, pleases, and upsets the horses we love, and why. Obvious at times, fascinating at others. Not the ultimate book on either horse psychology or interspecies communication, but an interesting read. ( )
