"The Lightning Thief" is a fantastic book for students because it's an exciting mix of ancient myths and modern adventures. Rick Riordan tells the story of Percy Jackson, a relatable character who discovers he's a demigod, and his journey to uncover his true identity while facing mythical monsters and gods. This book is perfect for classroom discussions about friendship, figuring out who you are, and what it means to be a hero. It's a fun way to introduce students to Greek mythology and talk about important themes like bravery and loyalty. Plus, there's lots to explore about how the story is put together and the words the author uses to make it all come alive. ( )

So macht mir griechische Mythologie Spaß...

This is a great book for middle and early high school students. i really enjoyed reading this book. This is a book about a young boy who finds out that his father is Poseidon the god of the sea. it goes through that idea of learning his identity and an adventure to return Zeus's lighting bolt that had been stolen.

"The Lightning Thief" is perfectly paced, with electrifying moments chasing each other like heartbeats, and mysteries opening out in sequence. The action never feels gratuitous; it draws its depth from the myths at its source.
