First, let me say that this is being billed as a standalone sequel to the Billionaire Banker series, and if you haven't read that yet, please do before starting this book, as you have no knowledge about some of the backstory.
With that said, I still enjoyed this book, the characters are fairly well developed and the intensity and chemistry between Billie and Jaron is off the freaking charts! Billie claims to be a lesbian (and who knows, maybe she is?), but she still has a phenomenal night with Jaron (and I ain't talking about playing Texas Hold 'Em). But like some guys do, he didn't call but just shows up on her doorstep months later like everything is cool and immediately begins to assert his dominance.
Try as she might to resist him and his...charms, Billie eventually falls for Jaron, and quite possibly he for her, but there are secrets being kept (isn't that a prerequisite?) that could prevent them from being together and happy.
While I liked the book, I didn't feel a connection to either Billie or Jaron, probably due to the fact that I haven't read the Billionaire Banker series yet (Billie is the best friend to Lana, star of the B.B. series). But I will say that the sex scenes in this book are freaking off the charts hot smuttiness and I loved reading every word. ( )
