An elegantly written, extremely well researched dissertation of the role in Iblis in Islamic literature from the Qur'an, some hadith, and Sufi masters up to Attar.
I learned of writers I had never heard of, Ain Al-Qadat, and the scholarship of this treatise is just outstanding. I love this book.
The only problem with this book is it is out of print. It is only available on E-Bay for +$300 or if you get permission from an academic library. I wish those Dutchmen would re-issue it, otherwise one might be tempted to break copywrite infringement laws and photocopy the Iblis book. Yes, that does seem rather fitting, break the law for the Devil book. Honestly, I would love to give Mr. Awn his $$, but the Brillos seem to have this book locked away in the vault within the Disney vault. A pity! ( )
