Steve Martin never ceases to amaze me with his multitude of talents. From comedian, writer, actor, musician and now art collector and enthusiast, he does each at 110%. Over a period of 30 years, Martin has amassed an incredible private art collection. His collection is varied, unique and focused. However, more than just aquiring art, Martin has become a superior student of art history. This book from a Las Vegas exhibition of his collection is written by Martin and contains his essays on each art work. His knowledge of the artist, art history and interpretation of the works meaning clearly shine through. Martin never ceases to impress me. ( )
