I just started The Reptile Room, book 2 in A Series of Unfortunate Events. I read The Bad Beginning long ago and liked it, and I really thought the movie was well done. The kids did a great job and Jim Carey was perfect as Count Olaf.

I also thought Coraline was a good audio. He might enjoyThe Series of Unfortunate Events on audio. I enjoyed Thief Lord and Inkspell by Cornelia Funke.

I've only read The Bad Beginning, and it certainly didn't inspire me to read more. The constant vocabulary lessons were extremely tedious. So Harry Potter wins easily.
