A CEO billionaire needs a wife to save his image. A desperate college student needs her trust fund to get her degree. A reality TV romance could solve all their problems. Six years ago, Madelyn Knightly walked away from her trust fund, her Hollywood producer father, and the expectation that she would join the family business. Avoiding handsome playboys with hidden agendas was just an added bonus. Now one semester shy of graduation, she is shocked to discover her scholarship has lost its funding. Her estranged father is having problems of his own. A contestant on his latest reality TV series has canceled a week before shooting. His solution? Madelyn gets her trust fund back if she stands in as a potential marriage candidate for the dating series Marry Your Billionaire. Twenty women competing for one arrogant guy. Not Madelyn's cup of tea. Agreeing to this proposition sucks her back into the world she happily broke ties from. But no trust fund equals no college degree. Brody Prescott, CEO and owner of an online dating company, has recently been pegged a heartless playboy by a disgruntled female after a disappointing date. To save his company and his reputation as an honest businessman, the billionaire must prove to everyone he isn't the naughty bad boy they believe him to be. His solution? Become the first bachelor on Marry Your Billionaire and land himself a wife. Unfortunately, the woman who intrigues him the most wants to be eliminated. His careful planning did not include wooing a reluctant bride. If Brody can't convince Madelyn he's interested in happily ever after, he risks losing his reputation and the only woman he has ever loved. Marry Your Billionaire is Book 1 in The Reluctant Bride Series by Swoony Award-winning author Jennifer Griffith and USA Today bestselling author Cynthia Savage. All the books in the series are standalone romantic comedies with hunky heroes, hilarious twists, and clean-but-undeniable chemistry. "A contemporary romantic comedy with plenty of real emotion on a TV set, Marry Your Billionaire puts a new spin on the reality TV romance dating shows by having both a bachelor and bachelorette who don't want to be there. Full of drama, steam, and a bit of danger as one contestant plots her way to the top, this story has plenty to offer for any bachelor romance fan." -Sarah E. Everyone knows that reality tv is anything but real. It does provide an hilarious backdrop for this delightfully funny novel. Midge Knightly is facing a crisis. The scholarship that enabled her to walk away from her father’s money and the family business is no longer available. With her degree only a semester away, she finds it hard to give up on it now. Her father has asked her to fill in for a contestant on his newest reality tv show ‘Marry Your Billionaire’ and promised her she could have her trust fund and then walk away. Just one day of dipping her toe back into Hollywood doesn’t seem too much of a bother except...

Billionaire Brody Prescott has a problem. He is a bachelor who runs a large internet dating site and he has been accused of using his clients private information to enhance his own dating life. Desperate times call for desperate measures, but is going on tv reality show to find a wife really the best way to fix his public image?

With a proposal on the line and twenty women competing, there is already the potential for temper tantrums, backstabbing and catty betrayal. Throw Brody’s determined ex Felicia into the mix and the situation becomes even more intense. Still the adversary you can see is not the one that should be worried about and neither Felicia nor Midge know there is another contestant willing to do anything to get the man she wants.

Though this is a romance, there is plenty of intrigue and plot twists. The characters are an eclectic mix. Midge sticks to her principles without losing fun and sassy and her character brings out the fun in her fellow contestants giving what could be a straightforward romance a bit of depth. In fact, it is the minor characters that make this story shine. Brody’s mom could have carried the story all on her own. Midge’s friend Lisa is a blast to read and there is no doubt why Midge’s dad is successful in his chosen profession.

All in all this story is well written and imaginative. The Cinderella theme running through it kept the story fresh and made for some laugh out loud reading. I started it, one bedtime, with the idea of checking it out for a bit and actually reading it later. The sun was up before I put it down finished. Most definitely a "will recommend" book!

Heavenly! Midge drew me in right away, and despite our financial background differences, I felt the pain that she harboured from her past wanting attention from an unresponsive parent. I also recognized a lot of the same qualities in her that I see in myself and that makes for a compelling character to me. Midge & Brody were a lovely combination - the added twist of this being a reality show and Midge being blackmailed by another contestant hell bent on ruining Brody's life. There's enough to keep everyone entertained in this romance.

Prankster Midge is my favourite, read it and you'll see what I mean!

HIGHLY Recommended to anyone who likes a lighthearted romance. ( )

Midge is almost done with college but has just lost her scholarship which she needs to complete the last semester of her Master's degree. Her father is a very famous Hollywood producer/director but he's not helping her because he wants Midge in the business with him. Brody is a billionaire who owns one of those online dating companies. He's a date-'em-once kind of guy and the last woman he went on a date with accused him of using his companies dating site to pick-up girls and then dumping them. Midge's dad has the brilliant idea of a "Bachelor"-type reality showing titled, 'Marry a Billionaire' and he uses the loss of one of the contestants to rope Midge back into his world. Brody has met Midge and finds out she's to be on the show so decides to be the billionaire so he can connect with Midge. And let the sparks fly!

I thought this was a fun, easy read which had great chemistry between the lead love interests. The thing that tears them apart is a bit different than the usual conflicts in a romance and is probably the only thing I wasn't fond of, I thought it needed more in that area. But that was minor and didn't take away from my enjoyment. If you like contemporary romances that are pretty 'clean' you'll probably enjoy this one. ( )
