He increased his possession from a thirty-five-acre farm in Farmington to seven hundred acres in Bear Lake, Idaho, he founded the Davis County Bank and the Commercial Store, and he served as an elder and placed the majority of his possessions at the disposal of the LDS church.In addition, though he was married to three wives and fathered twenty-one children, he provided not only the necessities but many of the luxuries of life.
