This book is filled with invective and emotional appeals; add to this a a complete lack of real logical argument or appropriate citations, and you have book which is thoroughly misleading. Boettner seems to be on a campaign of how many times he can use the word bigot, or its derivations, with reference to the Roman Catholic Church. This book's only useful purpose is to give one an insight into how Evangelical Protestants think. Apart from that, leave this book alone, especially if you are feeling suicidal. This book might be tolerable if you have time to kill, and can't find anything else which you haven't read ten times. ( )Standard Study on Roman Catholicism. Boettner's schorlarship is distilled into an easy-to-read style. Useful for personal or group study, and excellent as a textbook for the classroom. no reviews | add a review
