Jim Hines has a non-serious goblin series that starts with Goblin Quest. Goblin Quest by Jim C. Hines There were 3 books that were disappointing. None of them were awful or pathetic, but they just weren't that good for me.
Goblin Quest by Jim C. Hines
The Alchemyst by Michael Scott

I would have to say...
The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide by Douglas Adams because of the humor, and Goblin Quest by Jim C. Hines because it was the first book where I met the author.

I picked this one up because it promised "one of the funniest dungeon-delving epics ever." Sigh.
Why do I ever put any credence in book blurbs?

Cheryl Fifty-Seventh book - Goblin Quest by Jim C. Hines
Review -
Jig the Goblin is small and meek compaired to other goblins. He is even still charged with doing the tasks assigned to goblin children. Then one day the Captain decides to use Jig to scare up some game and Jig happens upon a ... ... that :( It did sound good when I read the description.
