It's a very large book when you only need two pages, but you can secretly quiz yourself on how many of her weekly, monthly, and annual housekeeping tasks you actually undertake (about 65%). ( )Excellent reference book. Great as a house warming gift. The information is current and exhaustive. I particularly appreciated understanding the "why" behind some of her recommendations like which cleaners are acidic and which are alkaline and why they could damage certain surfaces. I absolutely love this book!!! It has all the information I need on anything household-related. It's especially good for someone just starting out, with great suggestions and comparisons on all types of household things (cookware, knives, tile, etc.). She also has fabulous suggestions for homemade cleaning products that are cheaper and work as well as store-bought chemicals. This book is like Hints From Heloise on steroids. My housekeeping bible. I love it. It's my go-to whenever I need to figure out something. This is a fabulous resource to have in the home. Stewart knows the 'right' way to do most anything, and gives her readers the confidence that they are cleaning their home, setting their table, ironing their sheets, etc., properly. no reviews | add a review
