I hate twee little product-design queens who think the word “design” refers to lamps, chairs, tables, rugs, but was I ever shocked at how much I learned from this mammoth book. As the book says, the eternal design question of the chair comes up over and over again, as does the table, the “service,” and the task lamp. Less twee than I anticipated ( )
