Here is another book that is rife with information. In addition, the recipes have mostly been culled from old cookbooks and herbals. Unfortunately, the sources rarely appear with the recipes. When there is a source it is often much too obscure for the average reader; at other times, there is no explanation and one can only wonder whether the source is a friend of the author's or someone we should know. Sometimes all that is said is that the recipe is "old". The commentary between recipes looks wrothy of perusal.

Recipe that catches my eye: Mushroom Loaves (might be good with morels!).
