Last of the 20-book 'Lone Pine Adventure' series intended for teenagers. In this, the police are concerned about banknote forgeries, the twins recognise an old enemy from the past, and David is busy arranging a birthday party packed with surprises for Peter's 18th. It was clearly written to draw a close to the series, with the older Lone Piners now young adults, growing out of the club, although not their promises to be true to each other. Slightly contrived, perhaps, in that just about everyone who has appeared in any of the previous books appears at the end - but still, basically a well-written story with a satisfactory conclusion.
