Another suspenseful, inspirational romance in this "Hideaway" series. This story in about healing broken family relationships; of making amends. It is part of a series, so I highly encourage folks to read the books before this one as it gives you a great background on many of the people in this story that you will miss out on if you don't read them in order.

A senator has been found dead in his home by his daughter Shona Tremaine. Her estranged husband, Geoff, and her younger sister, Karah Lee will try to help Shona clear her own name in this murder and try to find out who would do this evil deed. But someone is now after Shona or so it seems. There is mystery, corruption, and deceit going on in this book, but also a healing of past hurts and learning to let go of past hurts and love unconditionally. This is my 6th book in this series and they all flow very well together. I appreciate this author's writing style and the letter to the readers in the back of the book. Well done. ( )

First words
It's time to get a new life.
Shona Tremaine tapped the brake and turned into the curving, tree-lined drive that led to her father's mansion. For now, it was home to her, but a break was coming soon.
She needed to distance herself from the cutting edge of Dad's politics as a state senator in Jefferson City, Missouri. That edge was serrated, and she had allowed it to slice right down the middle of her marriage---and everything else in her life.
