Het verhaal beschrijft de turbulente belevenissen van een dichteres die verbannen wordt uit Cuba. Het verhaal is goed geschreven, het nodigt uit om door te lezen. Helaas is de onderbouwing wat zwak, de personen blijven een beetjes plat. Ook wordt niet duidelijk waarom Cleo steeds wordt gevolgd en wat ze heeft misdaan. Wat meer logica zou het verhaal ten goede komen. Nu moet ik maar aannemen dat de regering in Cuba haar burgers onterecht controleert. ( )
