SUMMARY
This anthology of poetry covers several different holidays. The contents of the anthology are broken down by month so that you can easily locate a specific holiday you might be interested in.

REVIEW
My favorite thing about this book is that it has sections for each of the twelve months. Within each section are poem selections of holidays that fall in each of the months. It also gives the date of observance and a description of each holiday. For instance, it says that Independence day is celebrated on July 4 and then explains the meaning behind the holiday. There are then two selections for the holiday, including a poem entitled "Fireworks" by James Reeves. I think the anthology mainly focuses on the more popular holidays in America, but I think it is still a valuable resource. ( )
