I was expecting to enjoy this book more, the illustrations with all the floor plans and cross sections are truly stunning, but the book is organized in a somewhat confusing way and the text dragged a little even if there was no real thread, only tidbits. Also, there are some unnecessarily gruesome descriptions of torturing, executions and killings that didn't seem to be all that relevant to the theme of the book. ( )
