Loading... The Avant-Garde in Exhibition: New Art in the 20th Centuryby Bruce Altshuler
None. Not a bad overview, butI have one serious gripe with the book--excerpts or everywhere. Pieces of essays and other writings abound, but the author almost never sees fit to give you all of a writer's words and thoughts; he just picks and chooses what he likes, including ellipses as needed. As a result, you sometimes feel like you're getting half the story, or worse, that what you're reading is being somewhat misrepresented (and sometimes you're right). ( )no reviews | add a review
