Enjoyed this but golly it was depressing in parts. The fights went on for too long most of the time. Small attempts at humour but just not enough of them. I enjoy the Avengers etc films but the first ones are nearly all miles better. The Black Panther film looks like it could be good though. ( )

Fun actors, some snappy dialogue, arbitrary, ridiculous, plot. These people fight when they should talk and they talk when they should take some action all so the plot can go on with maximum acceleration. ( )

The Avengers fight each other.

Well, the Avengers fight each other, so you get what they promised. And for someone who thinks that's a dumb premise, I had a reasonable amount fun. The movie is kind of a weird parade of characters, though. All their comings and goings make sense logically, but it's a mess structurally.

After another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps, one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.… (more)
