Five short stories with Avison Fluke, the police detective we were introduced to in "Born in a Burial Gown"; which wins my award for the best opening sentences ever.
The collection includes "Skuttlebutt" which I have read online previously, a dark tale of a fifteen year old boy taking his own life after his online girlfriend ditches him; and the police tracking down that online girlfriend. I also really enjoyed the poker tale. A very slim book at only 90 something pages but very good, and definitely whetting the appetite for the next full length book in the series ( )
