Review: This book is a good example of fantasy because the monkey have been personafied with human characteristics. This is the story of a family of monkeys that goes on a picnic by the river. There are five monkey children and they decide they want to tease the crocodile while sitting in the tree. One by one the crocodile tries to get each one othe monkeys. Slowly the monkeys start to disappear and the mother starts to worry. At the end the monkey all climb out of the tree and learn their lesson about teasing a hungry crocodile. This is a really cute book fof little kids. It would be good to read when learning about animals and it is repetitve so your class could say it along with you. This book teaches children to be careful around crocodiles. It also teaches children to listen to their mamas. Funny story of five naughty monkeys.
