What a delightful book! The moon shining into her burrow wakes little Kiwi up and something feels different. She runs off to tell everyone that ‘its coming.’ The other creatures don't believe her, but they follow anyway. When Kiwi, Weka, Ruru, Tui and Katipo arrive at the beach they see the light is coming from the stars of Matariki. Included is a simple explanation of Matariki. Beautifully illustrated, this is a fantastic addition to our Matariki library. A Picture Book finalist in the 2016 New Zealand Children and Young Adults Book Awards. ( )
