While many "cozy" mysteries are humorous, this one is not.

The plot is convoluted in the best way. The characters are well-drawn and lively, both the main ones and the secondary ones.

And the setting is great! I have not been to that area of the country, but all the descriptions sure make it enticing in its beauty.

I expect that I will read more in this series, because I really liked the characters and the setting. ( )
