SPANISH LESSONS has been impatiently perched at the top of my TBR-ASAP list since the moment I flew through its first two chapters on author Jessica Peterson’s website. Instantly enticing and brimming with the youthful promise of worldly adventure and amour, I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next to Vivian and Rafa after their simmering late night meet cute in Madrid. Over the weekend I finally got the chance to indulge. And, sigh…So, so good! Beautifully written from cover to cover, this vibrant, thrilling, and blissfully sexy romance is the dreamiest New Adult escape that I’ve read in a long time! I couldn’t tear myself away—happily immersed and living ever so vicariously through Vivian’s darling perspective as she navigated her new, enviable Spanish surroundings and fell hard for, quite possibly, the world’s most perfect NA hero, Rafa.

Vivian is a delightfully appealing heroine, and so easily relatable. We’ve all been in her endearing shoes—young, overwhelmed, overheated, and feeling the euphoric rush of blossoming attraction leading to the ecstasy of that first real love. I enjoyed each wobbly step she took to discover herself and her own happiness. As her story progressed and her stumbles transitioned to confident strides, I cheered her on as she grew stronger, more self-assured, and brave enough to chase her destiny in life and love. She needs a few pep talks and pushes along the way, but, when she gets there and Rafa’s there waiting…it is glorious!

To say Rafa is the ideal hero is no understatement. He’s absolutely every single thing a girl could ever crave, deserve, and endlessly adore in a man. All day long and then all through the night, adore! ¡Dios mío! I loved that man. He’s got tall dark and handsome covered for his entire generation, but he’s so much more than his dance moves and killer smile. Rafa’s the kind of hero that every man should aspire to be—honest, kind, tender, affectionate, compassionate, mature, worldly, and—surprise—not a manwhore! He’s a gentleman. Hooray! *throws confetti* He refreshingly, needs no fixing nor redeeming before he can attempt to win Vivian’s heart. I couldn’t get enough of him. All of his joy, goodness, passion, and swoon-worthy sensuality… To quote Vivian, “I want. Badly, I want.”

I loved Madrid. I loved this couple. I loved this romance! And, for all of us who can’t wait for Vivian’s tear-soaked bestie Maddie to get her own much needed HEA, we only have to wait one month! *throws ticker tape parade* Maddie and Javier’s story, LESSONS IN GRAVITY, releases March 15, 2016!

Bottom line: Pour the sangria and prepare to swoon!
