I found this book hard to put down. I liked the idea of writers as the main characters. Ex-cop turned mystery writer, Don, who needs some romance in his written words and romance writer, Melody, whose recent plots have gone stale, are paired up by their mutual agent, Cassie Stiles. At the same time, Melody is dealing with financial fallout from the death of her husband that is leading her to sell the house they bought together and move fulltime to her mountain writing retreat. In doing so, she and her son end up discovering caches of cash--and Melody ends up being threatened. ( )
