Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0982600348, Paperback)

The Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God of the Sign dates from the 13th century, and is one of the most ancient icons of Russian Orthodoxy. Since its discovery, it has been associated with prominent events in Russian history, such as the 1812 victory over Napoleon, and saints such as St. Seraphim of Sarov have venerated this icon. This is a copy of an akathist service for the icon, printed in both English and Church Slavonic.
