his 3 DVD set is the recording of a weekend retreat with Venerable Robina Courtin at Land of Medicine Buddha August 15 – 17 2008, called, “Transform your mind, Transform your life.” The main topic of the retreat was the text, Eight Verses of Thought Training. Buddhism teaches that all happiness and suffering come not from outside circumstances, but from the mind. These teachings in eight verses give us tools to overcome our negative habitual tendencies of anger, greed and selfishness and to deal with difficult situations. A teaching for developing compassion for a courageous mind, it gives us confidence and motivation to get going when the going gets tough.
