------------------

The bad thing is that the book was very predictable, especially if you have read classic mystery novels, and you can know who the murderer is and what their motives are before you have read half the book. However, there is still some doubt whether there is only one murderer until the last page, because the title, which is a small spoiler if you can imagine the reference, suggests that there could be something more sinister going on. It’s a book that people who haven’t read many mystery novels will enjoy more.

I never liked the characters very much and they seemed to be somewhat stereotyped. The only one who wasn’t completely annoying and who is also the most interesting one, ends up dead towards the end. As soon as there are fewer characters, we find out more about them, but they still remain quite flat.

The best part is the last page. As I’m trying to avoid spoilers, I can’t say what happens, but those who have read the book will know what I’m talking about. It’s a very interesting and unexpected plot twist, because it turns something that looked completely solved and irrelevant into something much more important. Also, I loved how the scenes are described. The author manages to create a very creepy environment that makes it difficult to stop reading the book to know what is going to happen, even when you are sure about the identity of the murderer. ( )
