A lot of academic work and research went into this, as is evident from the extensive endnotes, and that is admirable. Unfortunately, the story is a dreary rehash of [b:Heart of Darkness|4900|Heart of Darkness|Joseph Conrad|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1392799983s/4900.jpg|2877220] with awful people doing awful things to each other. The warthog character is the only one that approaches fun and only accomplishes that by being incredibly offensive and foul. ( )
