I received a free advanced review copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This book is the prequel to ‘Secret of the Stones.’ The author gives the reader an understanding of the relationship between Sean, Tommy, and Emily. The reader becomes aware of what drives them and what haunts them from their pasts. They are trying to thwart a terrorist threat and figure out who is pulling the strings and what and where the target is. All the while they are using a very interesting and intriguing archaeological dig as cover. It is obvious that the author has done a great deal of research before writing this novel. This is another well written suspenseful and action packed thriller by Ernest Dempsey. The author ends with a cliffhanger ending leading the reader to ‘Secret of the Stones,’ Ernest Dempsey’s first novel. Another excellent book by Ernest Dempsey and I hope to read more of his books in the future. ( )
