The only reason for 3 instead of 4 stars is the timing. Had I read this book when it was first published, I would have rated it higher. But having already read Michael Pollen and others, the information in this book isn't new anymore. That's a good thing. It means others have picked up the message and people are paying attention. Thanks Jane Goodall for starting the conversation! ( )

This was a very informative book. Some of it seemed repetitious but it was so nice to hear what I can do about the issues rather than just the issues. I believe everyone should read this book, if not the whole book, at least her introduction/preface. This is an issue that should concern us all! ( )

I love Jane Goodall, I like the cause behind the book, it's just a little meandering for me. Nothing much that is new. ( )

An interesting discussion of GMOs, philosophy of food. ( )

This is an excellent book for people wanting to eat healthy. Goodall describes clearly why it is important to eat organic and local. She also is very clear why farming practices are important not only for what we eat, but the for the environment as well.
