For 9-12 year old set, this is the third installment in the Bindi Babes series, in which Amber, Jazz, and Geena Dhillon get into all sorts of mad Indo-British adventures. Basically, Auntie finally got engaged and is moving out, a new girl and guy start school and are causing havoc and Amber has a hair-brained scheme to solve all their problems. Not only are these fun girly books without being over the top moral OR super girly, but I'm a sucker for fiction that explores the meaning of what it means to be British and/or addresses the post-colonial immigrant experience. And I love that these books do that without intentionally setting out to "Address the post-colonial immigrant experience"... ( )

The third in the series, this book delves back into the lives of three adolescent sisters. They get into scrapes, but clearly love each other and the story reflects that. It shows a semi-normal life and all the ups and downs that comes with entering hte teenage years.

A third outing for the three sassy sisters – the original Bindi Babes

Amber, Jazz and Geena have finally secured auntie’s engagement to the gorgeous Mr Arora. Now the girls are now vying for the attention of the gorgeous new guy at school, Rocky, who has his own recording studio. Amber thinks she’s bound to capture his heart when she invites him to DJ at Auntie’s wedding, but when the girls go to hear Rocky sing, Amber realizes she’s made a big mistake. It’s going to be a huge headache to work this one out, but if they don’t, every guest at the wedding will have a worse one! Fortunately, a great idea comes from an unexpected source, and the girls bounce back again.
