Those are just some of the things I could say about this debut novel of Gina Holmes. When I bought this, I wasn't expecting that I will not stop turning the pages once I start reading it. I stayed up till 3 in the morning just to be able to finish this novel because I was really curious and excited on what will happen next. This is the very first novel of Gina Holmes that I've read and I'm looking forward on reading her other books such as Dry as Rain and Wings of Glass. My dad died on November 8, 2010, and in trying to come to terms with it, I started reading Crossing Oceans, which I had gotten for free for the Kindle a short time before. I was completely blown away by it. It helped me understand how a parent leaving a child behind might feel (even though the kid is an adult), and the little girl reminded me of the little girl that couldn't quite understand how her dad was leaving her for good through death. The sample of her next novel hooked me as well, so I will be looking forward to it!! Wonderful novel! Crossing Oceans tells the story of one girl's decision that affects the whole family. Jenny left home six years ago and decided she would never come back. But life has a way of changing our plans. Now she must make the biggest decision of her life. I love that she needs the support of her family and friends to make that decision. Reading this book made me think of all the decision I made in my life were always the best decisions. no reviews | add a review
