In The Happy Prince and Other Tales by Oscar Wilde, the author's gift for beautiful poetry and language is apparent. His stories are both tragic and poignant. Much like his contemporary Hans Christian Anderson, the stories usually have tragic endings. However they do not lack in compassion, tenderness, and pathos. I give this classic a five-star rating, but I would recommend that parents read the stories first. ( ) no reviews | add a review
