A wonderful read. It's primary positive traits are its characters. Cyric and Bane are wonderful, interesting villains. Kelemvor and Midnight's relationship is adequetely complex and ambiguous. Adon's situation--having lost faith--is compelling. The only problem is the final battle is somewhat anti-climactic. Some really great chapters happen after the heroes arrive in Tantras, and the pace of the book becomes somewhat non-linear. Definitely better than the first book. ( )
