I enjoyed reading this. I have to deal with "stage moms" from time to time, but HER mom takes the cake. What a great story! ( )

Wow, I just couldn't put this book down. Gypsy's down-to-earth writing style (amazing considering she never had 'normal' schooling) makes the book feel as though you're sitting down with a good friend and listening to her tell you 'bout the good ol' days. As of fan of Sondheim's musical, it was also an interesting book to look at and think on the differences between Gypsy's memoirs and the way Sondheim crafted his story to suit the stage. ( )
