The author of this book is Lesley Choyce. I chose to read this book because it seemed somewhat interesting. It was just one of the bookd i pulled off the shelf. Characters were realistic. Writing was creative and detailed. The story was way believable. The story was like many tragities that happen every day. A liver problem. Many peole have these types of problems. Kurt gets hurt, the problem gets to be a life or death situation. Someone else dies which provides a new, working liver for Kurt. It happens. Tina is there for Kurt the whole time no matter who tries to stop her. She helps Kurt find a way. This book was accually better than what i expected. This book is a very easy read, and it is nice and short for reluctant readers. The themes in the story centers around friendship and helping out a friend, which is something almost all teens can relate to. Obviously, since it was so short, it is lacking in some elements of character and plot development. Overall, though, it is a great book for students who have lower reading levels. no reviews | add a review
