Lilith has been trusted to run the prestigious East Haven Resort while best friend Sarah is on her honeymoon. Not an easy task, especially when having to deal directly with head chef Adam, who's not only cocky, arrogant, and French, but damn sexy to boot. It's going to be the longest two weeks of her life. Adam has tried to deny his attraction for the sexy auburn-haired goddess long enough. Now that their boss is away on her honeymoon, it seems like the right time to stir things up. But when someone tries to snake in on his recent claim, he might just have to step up his game to win the prize he desires.… (more)

Another excellent book from Jill Sanders. This can be read as a standalone even though it is book 2 in the Silver Cove series. Lily & Adam are the main focus of this story. Lilith, or Lily as Adam calls her, is managing the Inn while her best friend is on her honeymoon. Adam is the French chef for the Inn & has been aggravating Lily for the last several months. He finally admits that he is interested in her & that's why he's been aggravating her. Lily feels the chemistry between them but has been trying to fight it. Lily has a secret in her past & has a lot of trust issues. They are thrown together again & again between their intense chemistry, their jobs & the fact that someone is threatening her.

This book has a fast paced plot with plenty of twists & turns to keep you totally involved. The relationship between the characters is life like & you feel like you could have them as your neighbors & friends. I was pulled into the story from the wedding scene in what I would call the preamble and couldn't put the book down, finishing it in one night. My emotions were totally engaged! There was laughter, love, crying & fear written into the plot in such away that they all added to the story. I would recommend this book to everyone. You'll love it!
