Andre still crafts a good story. This one is more mature than most of hers...maybe as time goes past she's having trouble with teen stories as well.
Whatever the reason, this is a bit more complex of plot than many of her earlier works, as well as being a historical rather than futuristic fantasy. ( )

Book description
Murray Lyon
Son of an insolvent colonial merchant, captive, then honored brother of fierce Creek warriors; skilled woods runner, quick with a knife.

Murray Lyon
Viscount Farstarr, unwilling heir to the EArldom of Starr, thanks to the passing of an almost forgotten cousin of his father's.

Only his shrewdness and frontier instincts are arrayed against the wicked deceit that threatens him - until he gains an unlikely ally....
