Similar to the popular Toy Story movies, this book is about the secret lives of toys when children are away. One fine spring day, Jenny and Jared’s toys decide to go out in the garden while the children are at school. This pleasant little outing soon becomes wrought with trials though! Fortunately, when the children come home, they immediately set out to look for their favorite toys. This was one of my favorites as a child, and it’s still delightful. It seems to have a timeless appeal about it. ( )
