This book walks through the life of Abraham to investigate how his story points forward to Christ. Because it devotes so many pages to such a short section of the Bible, it is able to go in depth with different facets of Abraham's experience, really pushing the reader to a fuller understanding of how the Old Testament truly was a Christian Bible to pre-Christian readers. The book makes a great companion either to daily quiet times or group Bible study, and I am interested in checking out other volumes in the series ("The Gospel According to the Old Testament"). (
