I'm a big fan of the film and appreciate this peak behind the scenes. The only trouble is that it is a bit on the light side. I wanted even more. ( )

A good follow up

I laughed out loud at least once during this book--as anyone should when reading about Mel Brooks. Not sure the Kindle edition did the photos justice. ( )

Utterly charming. ( )

This book tells the story of how the movie was made. Most people who pick it up are already fans of the movie and the book definitely caters to the fan. There's pictures from the set (each captioned by Mel Brooks) and so many stories from everyone involved.Mostly, the book is written by Mel, but there are excerpts from interviews and articles from most of the cast and crew. I laughed out loud a few times while reading. It's a quick read, and a must-read for anyone who wants a little inside look on the making of Young Frankenstein. ( )

A behind-the-scenes look at the iconic comedy Young Frankenstein as told by director Mel Brooks himself. From the film’s early beginnings to its theatrical release, iconic characters and actors, the story is weaved by Brooks along with accompanying materials, such as film scripts, interviews with the cast and crew and never-before-seen photographs. A must have for fans! ( )
