Are so-called Kenotic Theologians right to assert that this passage teaches the loss of some of the attributes of Deity by Christ when He took our flesh? He did? the Name of Jesus spoken of in this passage? of Christ? an examination of the Person and Work of Christ based on the words of Paul in Philippians 2:6-11. The scope of this very brief passage of Scripture is breathtakingly wide; going back to the time before the Word was 'made flesh', perhaps even to the time before the Creation itself; sweeping into the future state when 'every knee shall bow' at the Name of Jesus; the centrepiece being the Death of Christ at Calvary. This centrepiece is the very fulcrum about which the entire passage, all of Scripture, and the entire counsel of God turns. No library descriptions found. |
