There are only one or two sentences at the most on each pages with lots of pictures. My daughter loves all the blackboard bear books; there's something about the balance between the words and the pictures that really works for her. All of the adults who read it to her insert parenthetical comments about the physics of the situation when the bear tells the boy he's going to use a compass to navigate to the moon. I know, why quibble when the base premise involves a drawing of a bear coming to life? Somehow, however, this one requires too much suspension of disbelief for me. no reviews | add a review
