Interested readers should be cautioned to take the author's title literally. This is a business star-up guide with a clear emphasis on writing personal family narratives for profit. The focus is not on genealogy, nor on how to conduct family history research. None-the-less, the book does provide some very solid advice which can easily be applied to a family history / genealogy business. I was impressed that this is not simply a generic business star-up guide, but rather stayed on very much on topic throughout. I'm not sure the demand for the specific services covered is as great as the author suggests, but that was easy to get past, as was the fact that the book seems to have been written for a Canadian audience. Overall it is a good basic primer, full of practical advice, for anyone wanting to establish an small personal history / genealogy business. ( ) no reviews | add a review
