I like this book for the bright colors, and the mother's love for her child. It was fun to share with my daughter.
This is a great book to use to share simple words in other languages with students. The rhyming sentences make the story easy to read and give a rhythm to it. I would use the book in the lower elementary grades to talk about how parents and gaurdians love their children. The chorus in it would be good for teaching poems and how to rhyme with smaller children. This can be extended to introduce Hispanic foods to the children to taste, as well as an intro to learn more about their culture.
