( ) The cutest little story of a shark that 'isn't afraid of anything' but really, he's so afraid he's just trying to be touch. It touches on issues of pride but also the ability to stand up for yourself and walk yourself through fear instead of being taken over by it. Such a great story, I want to own this book. Shark is a shark (duh!) who thinks he's pretty great because he's not afraid of anything. He's strong and independent and brave - except when it comes to spiders. He's deathly afraid of spiders. But he'll probably deny it. Characters: Shark, Squid, Other sea creatures Setting: in the ocean Theme: fear Possible post-reading discussions may include: fear - what things are you afraid of?; courage to face fears; it's okay to admit weakness; self-confidence vs overconfidence; common sense; and reasoning. no reviews | add a review
