Met veel interesse begon ik in het boek Afscheidstournee geschreven door Vrouwkje Tuinman. Zij schreef eerder o.a. de roman De rouwclub en diverse dichtbundels. Afscheidstournee is een roman over de vioolvirtuoos Niccolò Paganini, die zowel wereldberoemd als zeer berucht was – hij werd een “Duivelskunstenaar” genoemd – en over wie veel verhalen de ronde hebben gedaan in de loop van de geschiedenis, na zijn dood.
