A lesser effort by the Master, but since Bester only wrote 5 or 6 novels in his lifetime, even the second tier stuff is worth reading. A coven of witches in the distant future inadvertently create a lethal demon which terrorizes civilization. Fast-paced, experimental, and quite entertaining.
